This is R11 of a strictly limited series of 22 individually numbered tenkara rods, hand-built and hand-signed by master artisan Mario Díaz Ibarra, The Fly Fishing Artisan. Once these 22 are gone, this piece will never be made again.

Each rod is truly one of a kind: the grip, the taper, and above all the case are completely unrepeatable. No two cloth cases in this series are alike — the calligraphy-print case that comes with your R11 will never exist again.

At 2.33 meters across just 5 telescopic sections, the R11 is one of the most nimble rods in the collection — built for close, overgrown creeks where longer rods simply can’t maneuver. Closed, it measures 59 cm, fitting easily into a small daypack or the side pocket of a hiking backpack for any adventure.
