This is R3 of a strictly limited series of 24 individually numbered tenkara rods, hand-built and hand-signed by master artisan Mario Díaz Ibarra, The Fly Fishing Artisan. Once these 24 are gone, this piece will never be reproduced.

Each rod is a true 1-of-1: the handle, the taper, and above all the case are entirely unique. No two fabric cases in this series are alike — the calligraphy-print case you receive with R3 will never exist again.

Extended, this rod reaches 2.46 meters across 13 ultra-compact telescopic sections — yet closed, it measures just 28 cm (11 in), one of the smallest packed sizes in the entire collection.
