This is R6 of a strictly limited series of 24 individually numbered tenkara rods, hand-built and hand-signed by master artisan Mario Díaz Ibarra, The Fly Fishing Artisan. Once these 24 are gone, this piece will never be reproduced.

Each rod is a true 1-of-1: the handle, the taper, and above all the case are entirely unique. No two fabric cases in this series are alike — the calligraphy-print case you receive with R6 will never exist again.

Unlike the ultra-packable pieces in this collection, R6 is built on a 4-section architecture: fewer, thicker sections for maximum strength and a more substantial feel in hand. Extended, it reaches 1.92 meters — closed, it measures 59 cm (23.2 in), still compact enough for a suitcase or the trunk of a car, but built with a sturdier backbone for anglers who want more authority in short, punchy casts.
